- Open a New Document.
- Find/Mouse over the Shape tool, which will be the Rectangle tool as default.
- You may choose up to 6 different types of shapes, for now we'll just look at the first 4.
- Let’s start with the Rectangle tool.
- Once the rectangle tool has been selected, click anywhere on the page to choose where the center of the shape will be. You can change the width and height of the shape from the center by changing the number of pixels in the 2 boxes, when you have completed this, click ok.
